This workshop is especially for people who suffer from joint problems: arthritis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis, but also for people with fibromyalgia.

Pain, rigidity and the fear to inflict more damage to the joints may prevent people from exercising. But without regular exercise, joints become stiffer and more painful, muscles lose strength, bones weaken, the immune system weakens, the blood circulation slows down and the risk of heart disease, hypertension and diabetes increases.

Tai Chi for Arthritis helps to reduce symptoms such as pain and rigidity of joints and muscles, improves muscular strength and increases flexibility of the joints. Tai Chi for Arthritis provides a sense of calm and reduces fatigue.

Everybody is able to learn Tai Chi for Arthritis. The movements are slow and calm and the amount of effort can easily be adjusted; therefore it is safe and effective. Tai Chi for Arthritis includes Qi Gong, another ancient Chinese practice, which focuses on breathing exercises, often integrated with exercise and meditation. Tai Chi for Arthritis can be practiced anywhere.
